If you haven't visited Quincy Mine, it is worth taking the full tour. The Mineral Museum is a wow. It took us two half days to see it all. Purchased gifts and take homes in the gift shop. Pansy's Rock Shop A MUST to get HIGHLIGHTED MAP from Deer Park Lodge telling you which roads WITH CORRECT ROAD CONDITIONS to use when google maps/GPS wants to give erroneous directions or you lose signal. Good food/drinks at Tahquamenon Upper Falls (check hours 11am -7pm) and at brewery/tavern in Grand Marais (noisy bar but good food and homemade cream...

Recommend Spring or after rain for waterfalls. A bit of a letdown to hike out to waterfalls that are pretty much nonexistent. If road noise an issue, recommend Hancock City Park or Muskallonge State Park. Krupps at Twin Lakes have good pasties made fresh daily. Better flavor than some of the more advertised places but none of bakeries use enough rutabaga...

Tip for Other Campers:
Use this CG as a staging area to explore St Ignace, Mackinac Island, Sault Saint Marie, Drummond Island, Tahquamenon Upper Falls (good restaurant), the eastern Lake Superior shoreline, Crisp Point Lighthouse (only the last 2 miles getting there haven't been upgraded so no longer AS exciting. Still rec 4WD truck, ATV over 2WD but 2WD doable).
