“Close to Mackinac City. Right on Lake Huron. Can see Mackinac Bridge from Camp ground.”
Nightly Rate: $58 USD
Water and electricity hookups only. Very nice campground. Level site. We camped at TeePee Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tip for Other Campers:
Downtown Mackinac City, has lots of shops. We went to Picture Rocks about a two hour drive, took the 2.5 boat tour, was well the trip. The locks in Sault Ste Marie are only one hour drive, we were lucky and a ship went through. Tahquamenon Falls was about two hour drive, but beautiful area.

Best part is the small beach on Lake Huron. Sites were level. No frills but still a good place We camped at TeePee Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips from campers about TeePee Campground
- michael bellish GDsponsor Buy your ferry ticket here. It's a little cheaper and includes shuttle service to and from the pier. This saved us from having to wait in line to buy tickets at the dock.4 years ago TeePee Campground

Merrill Outlet store was a hit. Cant miss with any of the fudge shops in town. Lots of tourist information in the office. Game room there as well.

The campground is laid out in a semi circle. It has shore access to Lake Huron looking north towards the upper peninsula of Michigan; great spot for sunrise and sunset views. The sites are not paved...

Tip for Other Campers:
A free shuttle picks up from the campground and takes you to the ferry terminal in Mackinaw City. You can take the ferry to Mackinac Island, or walk the attractions in town.

Yes, they sell discounted Shepler ferry tickets and we found them to be top notch; the shuttle service was pretty prompt both coming and going and the ferry operation was a well-oiled machine. Also, as mentioned, Darrows was truly excellent, and we had no wait on a weekday evening.
