Tips from campers about Sandy Shores Campground
- JeffreyPMc416 Note you can enter from the East or West on 154. From the East there is about 1 mile with a 14% grade and has sharp curves. We did not try that route going nor leaving.3 years ago Petit Jean State Park
- Webbsd There are many hiking trails to choose from ranging from easy to strenuous. You must drive 25 min to Morrilton for food and groceries. Conway, AR was a little further away and more options for restaurants and shops .4 years ago Petit Jean State Park

Tip for Other Campers:
Macs dune ride, reasonable fun and a little lesson on the dunes. Whippy dip (ice cream) after the ride. State park is beautiful, not for the weak to climb up though.
Really nice park. Very clean restrooms and showers. The location to silver lake and the state park is really great. The loud ORV's constantly driving through and the road is very loud. That's the...

Tip for Other Campers:
Be sure to take a Mac Woods dune ride. This was one of the highlights of our stay and we did it on the last day. Also, we took the pedestrian walk up to the dunes and recommend that as well. We are retired and if you take your time, you can make it. It is worth the climb. Would not recommend eating at Sandcastle. I had a hamburger which I could not eat. My...
