We were with a group of 4 other couples camping together. This park is in need of a bit of work. The sites are goofy. We pulled in headfirst so that the connections would be on the correct side of our...

Tips from campers about Dutch Treat Camping & Recreation

  • Liz White Must see Dutch Village, lots for adults and children. I would also recommend the Saugatuck Dune rides
  • Oaktree Found a great restaurant in Holland called Salt and Pepper Savory Grill. Service great and food is excellent.
  • Kim Ever Holland is nice, lots of shopping downtown. Although mostly overpriced boutique. Over priced Windmill Island gardens. $12 entry fee. If you have another Garden you belong to there is a reciprocal agreement and you can use your garden pass. If you're a beach person there are plenty but crowded and there's a feebfor the state park beaches. Overall, after 43 years from our last visit to Holland, the charm I recall didn't pan out. The frustrations of the campground completely depressed us and made enjoying sitting outside impossible. We didn't take the bikes off the rack didn't have a campfire, didn't sit out for dinner. An over crowded awkward campground doesn't fit our definition of camping. Ugh.

Park is very pretty and child friendly, most of the sites are buddy sites. They do have a pull road in between the sites but it is to narrow for larger rigs. We have a class A that had to pull through...

This is one of the nicest parks we've stayed at. The nicest rest rooms and showers I've ever seen. The pool was nice. We camped at Dutch Treat Camping & Recreation in a Travel Trailer.
