Tips from campers about Laurie's Lakeside Bar/Grill & Resort

  • Rick & Janine The main campground and inlet campground are on two opposite sides of the lake. If staying at inlet, don't turn in by the gas station (takes you to main campground) but turn on to Johnson Lake Road across the street from the Chapel and follow it all the way around to turn off 18A. The Inlet campground sites are basic but waterfront with more of a "fishing" vibe to them. The main campground is definitely more wooded and grassy green, more of a "woodsy" vibe. Avoid the Nautical Rose restaurant - they somehow managed to get everything wrong and nothing tasted good.
  • rvYoungster16 Gas station offering diesel fuel located a block from campground entrance. Walmart off I-80 by turnoff to campground. Larry Roper Trail is a lovely, wide, flat, cement paved, accessible trail through woods by main campground to swimming beach. Other
  • ANGELA_894 Medo's is a good place for drinks and food. It's just down the road from the campground. Friendly staff and good food.
