We traveled Hwy 61 along Lake Superior North one day to the Canadian Border, stopping to see many of the waterfalls, lighthouses, and towns along the way. Grand Marias, and Grand Portage are a must see. Ryden's Store in Grand Portage was very interesting....
Tips from campers about Black Beach Municipal Campground
- Adamchlwilliams There is so much to do here, it just takes some exploring. We love the town of grand marais (about an hour drive north). We love the black beach, check out the trails nearby at gooseberry and other parks, and check out grand portage and the falls there.
