Don't try to come in after dark. Sites are not well marked.
Tips from campers about George P Cossar State Park
- Robbi Town is very limited. This is not a tourist town. It was like we were among the aliens. I realize COVID has everyone scared and out-of-sorts. Even at McDonalds it was terrible service and terrible food but this isn't a review for fast food. Absolutely nothing to do or see othere drive around the lake. Boat rentals are expensive and to fish from shore anywhere along the lake is very treacherous. Had to take our temperature at the casino so we didn't go inside.4 years ago APRV Park
- Merikay MacKenna NOT in town! Six or so miles EAST of town. Across from lake. Next to a big gas station with a big red roof. Coming from the West on Hwy 2, our Nav Unit showed wrong address in town, but we got directions from a local.4 years ago APRV Park

We are looking for a Mississippi State Park site to make use of a credit we have to use before April 2019. This is not far from our home (3 hrs). My concern is space...we have a 42 ft 5th wheel and a GMC Sierra. Are sites here sizeable, and are roads easy enough to get in and park easily?...

Tip for Other Campers:
Make sure you take the Yocona Ridge Loop to the left. Be carful on what direction you take on the loops. They are not marked clearly. I should have looked at the site map before I entered the park. That would have saved me a lot of problems. After we were in our space 24 we loved the park so much we extended our stay by another night. We had to move to...
