Did not find out there was no water until we were set up. We called and they said they won't turn it on until April. There is nothing on the website and not told at check-in. We camped at Downstream...

“Nice place for an easy overnight stay. Electric/water. You can stay for free with a players card.”
Nightly Rate: $35 USD
Its really a parking lot not really a campground. Water & electric included. $35 with no players card. We camped at Downstream RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips from campers about Downstream RV Park
- Kim Ever Ride the Black Bear trail with your bike. Drive around and take in the scenery. But overall, we were not impressed with Minocqua and I really wanted to go there. I guess if you've got watercraft, or like small beaches on inland lakes, it's great. Shops are unimaginative, all the same stuff. They must all go to the same vendor fairs. I couldn't find anything from local artists and the shopping got boring. Also, they are not dog friendly. Actually, they're a bit uptight about dogs. Which sadly we find this often in the mid-west. When we're south or east there is by far a better acceptance of mans best friend. No dog friendly restaurant in Minocqua. You'll have to go to Woodruff to find two nice places and a brewery with patio that will allow dogs. Big Bones BBQ was great, food delicious. Hoggie Doggie has Chicago hot dogs, beef and soft serve ice-cream. We drove around looking at other campgrounds in the area, frankly they all are lacking and they all have an abundant of seasonal permanent sites and they are are crowded and trashy looking. Such beautiful nature and not much to offer in campgrounds. Maybe the state parks, but stay away from the private campgrounds, unless you like crowded narrow sites.4 years ago Hiawatha Trailer Resort
- User2235 Minocqua is a cool little lake tourist town with lots of activities. Great shops away from the strip (which was packed for the Holiday) - specifically Chocolates & More (they make their own chocolates and some of the best hand-made caramel we ever tasted) and The Cheese Board, both of which I highly recommend. Large grocery store right next door to those shops. We also found a great local pub - Fritz's - in Woodruff, which served some of the best cheeseburgers we have had in a very long time. This area is a lot of fun, with lots to do and plenty of camping choices.5 years ago Hiawatha Trailer Resort
- phfa We like to go to flea markets and there are some near and one in St. Germain every Monday. They have a variety of shops in town and a lot of eating places. We enjoyed the Antique shop in Minoqua, and the Casino is less than 20 miles from the camp ground. Our site was across the street from the restrooms and laundry.6 years ago Hiawatha Trailer Resort

It was very easy in and out. Huge parking lots with water and electric, but water was already shut off when we stayed, no big deal, we had plenty of water on board for one night. My husband went to...

“Great place to stop. Its a casino but they have two different parking areas. The lower one is best.”
Nightly Rate: $35 USD
Water & power hook-ups. If you join the players club and eat in the casino you stay is free. We camped at Downstream RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
