“Can't beat it for one night”
Nightly Rate: $10 USD
Between a grocery store, a big playground and a Cemetery. Right on the highway so a good bit of street noise, but for $10, we couldn't ask for more. Roads are bumpy and a little tight. I wouldn't...

“Convenient, Cheap Overnight Stop”
Nightly Rate: $10 USD
We drove thru the campground with our tow vehicle to check out the sites. Shady, grassy, rustic camping. Picnic tables and fire rings (check fire danger first). Central water spigot, bathrooms were a...

Tip for Other Campers:
Pull into the parking lot next to the campground and walk to find your perfect site. The interior roads are a little confusing and tight.
Tips from campers about Volunteer Fire Department Memorial Park
- rkmoezee Marathon is VERY bikeable! We even got groceries via bikes! Make sure to check out Crane Point Hammock and get a fish pedicure!!! Also 7 mile Bridge is worth the views. We also went even further South to Key West for a day-trip.4 weeks ago Coconut Cay RV Resort
- Samuel J We came here to go scuba diving. I highly recommend Captain Hook's - Marathon, which was very close to this campground. There are a lot of restaurants with noise and bar food, but we would recommend 'The Wreck," "Castaways" and "Frank's Grill." If one does stay here, ask for site 24 or 25 at the end of the line. At that end there's apleasant sandy area with shade, picnic tables, lounge chairs and an excellent view of the water.10 months ago Coconut Cay RV Resort
- rvlife_659ad77b16571 Happy hour is your friend in Marathon. Best happy hour in town is the Key Colony. Everything is $5. We also liked Castaways, Havana Jacks, Key Fisheries, Sunset Grille. Dockside and Overseas are great venues for live music.1 year ago Coconut Cay RV Resort

“Not much to it”
Nightly Rate: $10 USD
This is a small, tight campground for a big rig. Our spot was very narrow. Nice farmer's market on Thursdays in the summer. The campground bathroom was kind of yucky, but the one by the playground was...

Tip for Other Campers:
Make the trip down the road to Kootenai falls. As others said, there is a nice grocery store and big Ace Hardware right next to the campground.
This is an okay campground for a night while passing through. Sites are all dirt because of the forested area where no grass grows. The fee was high considering we got no utilities. Verizon MiFi,...

Nice small park right in town in a park. Clean restrooms with flush toilets. No showers. Water available and dump station on site. Most sites are smaller but sites 8 and 15 both could handle a 40'...

Tip for Other Campers:
Be sure to check out the Heritage Museum in town (one of the best I have been to) and the swinging bridge and Kootenai falls outside of town.
