The lake is on the California / Nevada state line and fishing requires a license from either state. The nearby Topaz Lodge has a nice restaurant with views of the lake. There is a gas station near the Topaz Lodge that stocks basics but it's a bit pricey for gas.

Tip for Other Campers:
It's ok for an overnight - for large vehicles ( 28 feet), I recommend not even bothering with the extra charge for "full hookups" - you are probably better off dry-camping and picking a spot in the parking lot with a nice view of the lake.

Great Lake with a kid friendly park, showers and hill to hike. Love the clean camping sites and less crowded vibe. We camped at Topaz Lake Recreation Area in a Tent.
