25 minute drive from the campground to the strip. Free parking available at the Treasure Island self parking lot if you tell them you are visiting the casino or eating in their restaurant. Tip for Other Campers:
The area around Nellis AFB is definitely a lower rent portion of Las Vegas. It did not feel unsafe. If you come in from the south there is a little bit of city driving but the streets are roomy enough for any size rig.

Why does Nellis no longer allow spouse and/or children on base for famcamp if veteran is DoD? They used to allow if you went thru visitor center and got a pass....
