Tips from campers about Taos Monte Bello RV Park
- Horski Take the circle route to Questa, Red River, Eagle Nest, and Angel Fire. Must see and stop at Veterans Memorial just north of Angel Fire. One of the the best ever memorials, including real helo. Must tour outside and inside to see an unbelievable display of US and VN artifacts.4 years ago Taos Monte Bello RV Park
- Piperjim Our favorite Mexican food restaurant is Orlando's. Get there early or be prepared to wait! It's convenient to this RV park. Another great food option is Guadalajara Grill with two locations. The southside location is our favorite of the two. Go to the little village of Arroyo Seco, also convenient to this park. It's cute and gets you away from the busy tourist crowds of Taos. The roads and parking are tight, it could be difficult driving a large motorhome into Arroyo Seco.6 years ago Taos Monte Bello RV Park
- Mike and Patricia So much to see you can easily fill 2-3 full days. Highlights - The Plaza, San Francisco de Asis Church, Kit Caron Home/Museum, Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, Black Rock Hot Springs which is a natural hot springs located on the river. Be prepared for a hike and some rock scrambling to get there. Not overly strenuous but wear the right shoes. You can access from either side of the gorge but the easiest is from the east entering through the John Dunn recreation area. A beautiful undeveloped area with places to swim, explore and relax. The trailhead can be difficult to find. Either google more info and ask someone there for directions to the trailhead. It's a must see. We also visited two wineries about 45 minutes southwest of town. Highly recommend Black Mesa Winery. Have a glass of Pinot Nior, sit outside and chat with the cat in charge. Taos Mesa brewery has great beer and pizza. Sadly the Pueblo village was closed due to increased cases of COVID. But on the list for the next visit.3 years ago Taos Monte Bello RV Park

Definitely take a tour of the Taos Pueblo! Maybe even the trolley tour of the town of Taos and areas around.
