“Relaxing and gorgeous!”
Nightly Rate: $30 USD
Very quiet, great view. Nice creating your own walking path. If you have 4x4, drive out onto sand by lake. We camped at Elephant Butte Lake State Park, Lions Beach Campground in a Motorhome.

Not much to do around park.
Johnnie B's restaurant--burger on rye and steak sandwich excellent. Mexican platter okay.

- BillCraig Don't rely on auto GPS to get you here or you will end up going down some less than easy country roads to get to the campground. Get onto state route 45 and follow GPS from there.2 years ago Prairie Pines Campground

- dalenoel Stores, shopping, and food are all close for all price ranges. Walmart and fast food was within a couple miles. Be aware when using a GPS in getting to the park it may take you on a tour around the old air force base and not directly to the campground. Tip for Other Campers:
We had a nice meal at Bigfoot. A lot of T or C is not open on Monday or Tuesday. We also enjoyed the brewery, galleries, and quirky shops.

The campgrounds have a great view of the lake, and our relative easy to back into. Everything was pretty decent. We camped at Elephant Butte Lake State Park, Lions Beach Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
