“Unexpected Quiet”
Nightly Rate: $8 USD
Very clean park to the point if you did see some trash you felt compelled to pick it up. The current camp host takes his position seriously. He noticed him everywhere, checking facilities and...

“Clean and friendly park”

Great location- easy to get to from ABQ (about 1-1.5 hrs) but quiet, remote and beautiful. Some spots have electric hookups but none have direct water hookups. You can fill up your RV at the spouts...

Tips from campers about Manzano Mountains State Park
- dkm24 Need to visit Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument Headquarters in Mountainair, NM - and possible tour Quari ruins.6 months ago Manzano Mountains State Park
- Sherlyn834 Enjoy the park and trails.6 months ago Manzano Mountains State Park
- Dennis_189 The National Park Service Visitor Center and the Forest Service Ranger Station in Mountainair are great places to stop in for information and orientation - as new visitors to the area. We enjoyed touring all three of the amazing ruins in the area (three units of the Salinas Pueblo Missions National Monument). The "B-Street Market" in Mountainair has a nice selection of groceries and local produce. We stayed two weeks at the campground, so it was worth the drive up to Edgewood for groceries and other supplies at Smith's and Walmart. We concur with other reviewers (here and on Google) that Moriarty is not the best place to fuel up. The Shell pumps at the TA Travel Center were pumping at the rate of two minutes or more per gallon and did not shut off when the tank was full. Kroger fuel points are not very functional there either, no receipt at the pump, long line inside at the cashier. We traveled a number of nearby forest service roads and found a range of road surfaces - from smooth gravel to rocky and deep ruts. This was OK for an experienced off-pavement driver in a Jeep, but may be hazardous for others.8 months ago Manzano Mountains State Park

“Small but very pretty state park”
Nightly Rate: $18 USD
Entrance road into park is fairly steep gravel. No problem for our 23' RV in dry weather but might be very tough/impassable in wet weather. We camped at Manzano Mountains State Park in a Motorhome.
