“Away from the busy world”
Nightly Rate: $17 USD
We stayed here in March 2025 for about ten days. The hosts and rangers are awesome. The bathhouse is clean and there is always hot water. We camped at Bottomless Lakes State Park in a Motorhome.

Tip for Other Campers:
Their visitors center has a nice and very informative exhibit. There are plenty of gypsum, sandstone and soapstone rocks around to collect and explore. Nice trails. Recommend the bluff trail for biking. It passes by all of the lakes.
And of course there is Roswell :)

Bitterlake Wildlife Refuge is interesting. Migrating birds, especially water fowl, are plentiful. Good hiking.
Anything you may need is in Roswell. The UFO museum is very interesting.
Tips from campers about Bottomless Lakes State Park
- OffRoadMom See the fish hatchery, movie museum in Lone Pine, drive the movie road. We had lunch in Bishop at Amigos Mexican Restaurant and it was delicious, will go there again. In all honesty we were disappointed in the bakery items from Schats Bakery, but their bread was nice.3 weeks ago Oak Creek RV Park
- lvnvangela Make sure to confirm who you made your reservation with and double before you arrive. It took them 10 minutes looking in multiple locations for mine. Q8 months ago Oak Creek RV Park
- BIGRBOB and STLLLA Oak creek runs alongside the campground, plus an interpretive trail.1 year ago Oak Creek RV Park

The camp hosts were very nice and helpful. The campground and sites were clean and well kept. The sites had ample room for our 35 ft travel trailer. The lake is fun with a swimming area. Too cold yet...

This has been on our wish list but Feb 2025 was our first time in. We did not make an on-line reservation as we upgraded this year to an HDT to pull our 5th Wheel & finding we prefer to check things...

Tip for Other Campers:
Primitive area sites are first come. A variety of sizes & types were available to suit any need. Pick your site, complete your form & submit it with cash or check payment in the drop box. We loved the park & the site & the trails so much we extended our stay to 6 days.
