Update to the Rattlesnake Rd concern: The alternate road was closed when we visited earlier this month. We had no problem whatsoever with the large dip in the road with our 40 ft motorhome while towing our Jeep Grand Cherokee....

Tip for Other Campers:
We had a couple of very good pizzas at Pizza Patio in Alamogordo. We selected this restaurant as it had outdoor seating, which is a must for our dog. This pizza place had many pasta dishes as well. Recommended.
Pistachio Land was quite fun. Tried their different pistachio flavors. Loved their Ranch. I enjoyed their Green Chili flavor.
