Tips from campers about Appleton, NY
- cdengeles Bike the creeper trail!6 months ago Damascus Creekside RV Park
- Shaynut6 Limited grocery shopping and diesel fuel in Damascus. Abingdon is a short distance to the west with better options if needing to re-supply.7 months ago Damascus Creekside RV Park
- Cindyvick Food at Wilsons is outstanding! Dairy King is like a step back in time with the 50s vibe and great shakes and burgers and even beans on certain days. Wicked Chicken is great and has live music sometimes. Damascus Diner is downhome country cooking. Reserve your bike when you arrive at the Bike Shop if you know the day you want to go. Recommend the 8:30 or 9:30 shuttle times. A 1 hour trip to Grayson Highlands NP to see the wild ponies is worth it...if they happen to be out and about. Internet service is sketchy outside Damascus so you might want a map. Campground is not very shady in the heat of the day, but our campers provided some shade at different times.7 months ago Damascus Creekside RV Park
