Tip for Other Campers:
The ride into Association Island is long. It passes along houses and summer cottages. Once you get past them you will get down to the water level. The road way is narrow but passable for RV's. Excellent state parks in the area... Robert Wheile State Park has phenomenal views and is a large picnic area.
Road into and out of the campground is narrow and windy but very doable.

DG full market close by that has mostly everything you need. No close grocery stores so thankful for the DG! Plan on driving pretty far to get to any good state parks or other activities and historic sites. Nothing real close. A few restaurants in Henderson but only open Wed to Sun and they do get crowded.
