Tip for Other Campers:
Definetly take Whiteface Veteran's Memorial Highway for some terrrific views of the surrounding area including Lake Placid. There is a charge of $20. Per person but it's worth it. Close to there is Cobble Lookout Trail, an enjoyable 1.5 mile hike (one-way) to panoramic views of fall colors.

Tip for Other Campers:
Spend more than 2 days and I would recommend at least 4 to see everything and a buffer for any bad weather. White Face Mt (weather permitting) and the Olympic Ski Jump and tour are highly recommended.
