You are about 20-30 mins. Away from the falls, which was fine for us because the drive was beautiful. We did one day on state side, we took the trolley for $3/person to get around to see the sites, its on/off rides, so you can take your time at the spots. 2nd day we went to Canada side, be prepared to show your documents, not very nice border patrol people...
