Tips from campers about David Smallwood Park
- Empeyg Be prepared to enjoy some quiet time.9 months ago David Smallwood Park
- dgirvin Absolutely be sure to walk the Middle Brook trail, which connects directly to the campground. It's an easy, very well maintained trail with a small waterfall, bridges and a beautiful setting. A fantastic 3.5km way to start each day! The grocery store (Independant) is well stocked with produce and everything you need. Surprisingly so for a town the size of Gambo. It's also 5 mins from the campground. The Joey Smallwood centre is well worth the visit. We also took a drive to Salvage, which was stunning in both the drive and the destination. Lovely hiking trails there that were very well marked and maintained, with several lookouts over the town and ocean. The drive takes under an hour and skirts Terra Nova National Park.2 years ago David Smallwood Park

A decent park for a night or two. Entrance signage is small and easily missed. A municipal park with helpful operator. Not a lot of services available in area, but well worth a stay if traveling...
