“Very nice campground. Quiet and clean.”

We have stayed here a few times and have loved it every time. Nice large, spaced sites for most of the sites. We camped at Lake Powhatan Recreation Area in a Travel Trailer.

Lots of hiking trails to access in the area.
Tips from campers about Lake Powhatan Recreation Area
- Klewzoo You must eat at the brewery in the casino. The beer and food is excellent!
- Scott353 Shop downtown Oroville for that small town feel.
- Crystasys The brewery in the casino is decent but if you are willing to drive to Chico, approx 30 min, you will have much better food options. Tres Hombres in downtown Chico is a good mexican spot. Lake Oroville is about 15 min away. You can rent boats through the marina but most of those do not allow dogs. If you are looking for a boat rental that allows dogs, I'd recommend checking out boatsetter.com as the pricing is about the same but there are boats available that do allow dogs.

“Gorgeous Park with level sites”
