Make sure to visit the Oconoluftee Visitors' Center for the National Park. They have a nice museum, gift shop and you can get good info on where to go.Drive the Newfound Gap road (Rt 441) north at least up to the Newfound Gap. Tip for Other Campers:
Deep Creek Trail is beautiful and offers hikes of all lengths and tubing. Sylva is easy drive nearby with Wal-Mart, great local, organic, well prepared food and awesome library with super fast internet. If you show your receipt for staying at RV park they will give you a temporary library card. Nanthala is fun white water.
