- Chike1 Quick drive to Mingo falls, which is worth a stop. Head to GSMNP Oconaluftee visitors center in morning &/or evening to see Elk. We did see some near school which is close to campground too. Spent another day hiking loop in GSMNP near Bryson City too. Tubes available to rent there as well. “Decent park”

Decent park. Nothing fancy. Everything seemed to be in good condition. Location is not the best. We camped at Cherokee / Great Smokies KOA Holiday in a Fifth Wheel.

We are in the process of planning a trip in April. I work remote and plan on working while on the trip so cell coverage and wifi are pretty important to me. I see Verizon does have signal there but does anyone have specific experience? Is the signal good enough to actually use the data and voice for business? Is the wifi usable? Thanks...
