Up the hill from the park is a place called "Little Switzerland" with cute little hotel, ice cream shop, candy shop, and spectacular views from the lawn. A little further up is the emerald mine and museum, where you can view what the mine was like, what emeralds in the rough look like, and if you have signed up for limited spaces, a blacklight tour of one...

Tips from campers about Riverbreeze Campground & RV
- Irene_319 Up the hill from the park is a place called "Little Switzerland" with cute little hotel, ice cream shop, candy shop, and spectacular views from the lawn. A little further up is the emerald mine and museum, where you can view what the mine was like, what emeralds in the rough look like, and if you have signed up for limited spaces, a blacklight tour of one of the mines at night. You can also buy a ticket to mine at the dump site where ore was dumped - it's further down the road on a very rough, rutted dirt road with rock outcroppings. It was fun, but we wish we had been given better directions on how to look for the emeralds.11 months ago Riverbreeze Campground & RV
