It is easy to drive up to the Blue Ridge Parkway and go to any number of overlooks or trails that you wish. Always lovely.
Tips from campers about Marion Campground - Camping World RV Park
- OlderGoat Many sites are pull-through; Plenty of trails, all dog friendly
- Campering Get reservations in advance for the cave tours
- AMacN Excellent museum in the Visitor Center, recommend doing this before a cave tour to better understand what you are seeing. Cave tours were sold out on the weekend that we were there so plan ahead. The Ranger takes ~100 people through the cave tour. It is more walking than lecturing so we did not learn much on the tour except when Ranger answered questions.
