“Still rebuilding after the hurricane”

Tip for Other Campers:
Spruce Pine is very close and has some great restaurants. The Blue Ridge Parkway is closeby but expected to be unusable due to hurricane damage until 2027 or so.

Nice spots, surprisingly not crowded, great hiking trails and things to do. Would definitely recommend. We camped at Spacious Skies Campgrounds – Bear Den in a Motorhome.

Tip for Other Campers:
Go to the Gastropub in Spruce Pines about 20 minutes away. Great steak , burgers, and drinks.

Bears are known to be in the area We visited Spacious Skies Campgrounds – Bear Den, no overnight stay.

“Nice and Peaceful.”
Nightly Rate: $68 USD
Long dirt road was dusty. Tight turns in the campground for a 30 footer. Peaceful! We camped at Spacious Skies Campgrounds – Bear Den in a Travel Trailer.
