Tip for Other Campers:
Nantahala forest, Bryson City, Blue Ridge Parkway, Great smoky mtns and a drive to Asheville. Small towns of Sylva and Franklin NC close by and very quaint and lovely towns to visit. Blue Ridge Bootleg coffee in Sylva is a must try!

Site are tight near the creek but nothing really hard getting into. We camped at Sun Retreats Nantahala in a Motorhome.

Tips from campers about Sun Retreats Nantahala
- Ranjr Plenty of trails to take leashed dogs on - we did river walk trail (1.6mi) and was good for our senior dog. Staff helpful at checkin. All roads perfect condition throughout park.3 weeks ago Sam Houston Jones State Park

Tip for Other Campers:
Be sure to visit Baxleys Chocolate , Lu Lus on Main, El Patron Mexican Restaurant, Vintage Court House and so many more things in Sylva. Dillsboro has a lot of Great little shops. Franklin and Cherokee, NC are really close.

Overall nice campground. Lots of seasonal residents (50 according to the folks at the fire pit) but plenty of transient spaces. The sites are close together and just wide enough to park two vehicles...

Tip for Other Campers:
Sylva - lots of breweries within walking distance from public parking. Great Smoky Mountains National Park - Oconaluftee Visitor Center - Elk in the park come up to the visitor center in the field in the evenings.
Dry Falls is neat, you can walk behind a waterfall. Short walk down a (steep) paved trail.
