“very nice camp”

Staff very Friendly and helpful. Campground sites very large and mostly level.sites near water no trees, sites up the hill lots of trees and shade. We camped at Bandits Roost in a Travel Trailer.
The camp host was extremely helpful upon our arrival. We have back in site number 77. It is very wooded with a fire ring/ grill, and two lantern hangers. It has 50/30 amps and water. We visited...

- winnie1 There is a Dollar General in Gardner about 9 miles west of the campground. Across the street from there is a truck stop, hardware store and pharmacy. Walmart is about 17 miles east towards Alexandria.5 years ago Kincaid Recreation Area
- JSRFrench This is camping in a National Forest with an attached lake. There is a very good boat launch within 1 mile. During the swimming season April to September - there is a beach area with picnic tables, permanent barbecues & a public restroom facility. Great park. They have sites with water views, some in the woods. They have boat ramps so good park for boaters. We camped at Bandits Roost in a Motorhome.

Tip for Other Campers:
Convenient to Boone and Blowing Rock. Really liked Grandfather Winery and Vineyard in Boone, and Linnville Falls Winery. Small swim beach at the campground and fishing opportunities. Boaters will love this campground.
