Tip for Other Campers:
1. Take the route from the south to get there. If you follow a route (RVsafe GPS or Google) will take north through Washburn and then back down. This includes about 5miles of well-grated (at least while I was there) gravel. All but the last .5 mile is paved if you come from the south.2. There will be a $7 A DAY for a tow vehicle. It is not pay for one...

- Helpfulheidi Valley of Fire state park was incredible! It's a bit of a drive, but worth it. Hoover dam is a 10 minute car ride and a fun 1/2 day trip. We rode our bikes on the historic train trail, through the tunnels and came across so many happy people. Boulder City is minutes away and has everything you need. Albertsons has a beautiful, fresh deli and lovely produce.6 days ago Lake Mead RV Village

Very friendly staff. Nice level site with grass for the dog to play in. Missouri River a short walk away. We camped at Cross Ranch State Park - Main Primitive in a Travel Trailer.

Tip for Other Campers:
Only 15 miles away is the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center and 2 miles farther is the recreated Ft. Mandan where they spent the first winter. In the town of Washburn is a very good county museum that is free.
