“Tight fit, but well appointed CG”

This park is clean and well maintained. There is a lot of activities to do, and keep the kids entertained. Ticks are problem this year, so stay on the short cut grass and spray, spray, spray. The park...

Tip for Other Campers:
1. Take the route from the south to get there. If you follow a route (RVsafe GPS or Google) will take north through Washburn and then back down. This includes about 5miles of well-grated (at least while I was there) gravel. All but the last .5 mile is paved if you come from the south.2. There will be a $7 A DAY for a tow vehicle. It is not pay for one...

- BDsNoBo LOTS to do here. We went to Crater Lake for 2 of the 3 days we were here--about a 45 minute drive each way. If you're here for more than one day, we'd recommend visiting Crater Lake on the least windy day. It's spectacular regardless, but there was no wind on our first day which resulted in perfect reflections on the lake. Day 2 was just a little windy, and the ripples on the lake meant no reflections. Our favorite hikes in Crater Lake: Watchman Trail (nice, wide, not terribly strenuous trail with magnificent views of the lake and also Mt. Shasta), Sun Notch Trail for 2 views of the Phantom Ship and The Pinnacles Trail for something other than the lake. We spent our third day enjoying trails and sites in the area. National Falls and Pearsoney Fall trails were easy. The trail to Mill and Barr Creek Falls was also easy, but I would't recommend taking the spur to the Avenue of the Boulders unless you're up for a boulder scramble. Rogue Gorge Overlook is short and paved, and go all the way to the end for the best views. Finally, the Natural Bridge Trail (also paved and short) was short, paved and very informative.4 months ago Crater Lake RV Park

Very friendly staff. Nice level site with grass for the dog to play in. Missouri River a short walk away. We camped at Cross Ranch State Park - Main Primitive in a Travel Trailer.

Great state campground on the banks of the Missouri River. Only site that was available for a 40ft motorhome was $50! Booked it anyway and later figured out it was a group site! Called park and it was...

There are no full hookup sites but most do have electric and water and there is a dump station. Vault toilets in the campground with very nice showers in the visitor center building. Staff is friendly...

Only 15 miles away is the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center and 2 miles farther is the recreated Ft. Mandan where they spent the first winter. In the town of Washburn is a very good county museum that is free....
