Tip for Other Campers:
This are is Portage Lakes and NOT Akron. It's safe and has some nice lake front restaurants. We loved Rose Villa, pizza at Giuseppe's and Pavs Ice Cream.

Tip for Other Campers:
Akron, Ohio is pretty dicey. I would head North out of it and see areas around Stow, Peninsula, Hudson, Richfield, Kent, and southern Cuyahoga County for food, hiking and entertainment. Safety issues are a concerns in Akron.
