Tips from campers about Booktown, OH
- Dana Cocozziello Lots of things to do here. One of my favorite places to visit was the Camp Gordon Johnston WWII Museum, though it migh not look like much but inside was check full of great information of the training for WWI that was done there. So much we spent hours there, reading, viewing and just look at all the memorabilia they had there. Great job. We also visited another great museum in Carrabella History Museum. A trip over to St. George's island was great and the Blue Parrot Ocean Front Cafe had excellent food. A visit to quaint town of Apalachicola was excellent with great shops, restaurants and nice walks around the town.4 years ago Coastline RV Resort
- Dana_464 If you're planning a stay at Coastline RV Resort, there are plenty of great spots to explore in the surrounding area. Here are some tips and advice based on our recent experience:Eastpoint Brewery: Just a few miles away from the resort, Eastpoint Brewery is a must-visit. The atmosphere is laid-back, the beer selection is excellent, and the food is delicious. We highly recommend trying the Cheesy Flatbreadit was the best bang for our buck and packed with flavor. They also host Bingo games, which made for a fun and entertaining evening.Apalachicola: A short drive from the resort, Apalachicola is a charming town worth exploring. One of our favorite spots was The Gibson, a classy place to enjoy drinks and a meal. While its a bit on the pricey side, the quality of the food and the overall experience make it worth the splurge. The town itself has a lot of character, with historic buildings, local shops, and a welcoming vibe.Oysterbones Pet Boutique: For those traveling with pets, Oysterbones Pet Boutique in Apalachicola is the perfect place to pick up any supplies or treats you might need. The shop is well-stocked, and the staff is friendly and helpful, making it a great resource for pet owners.St. George Island: We decided to take a drive to St. George Island to check out the state campground and enjoy some beach time. Theres a $6 entry fee, followed by a scenic 4-mile drive to the state campground. A word of advice for pet owners: dogs are not allowed on the beaches within the state park, so plan accordingly if youre bringing your furry friends.Overall, Coastline RV Resort's location offers plenty of opportunities for fun and exploration. Whether you're a foodie, a pet owner, or just looking to enjoy the natural beauty of the area, theres something for everyone. Enjoy your stay and happy exploring!8 months ago Coastline RV Resort
