“Perfect for birders, very nice park”
Nightly Rate: $33 USD
Very nice park that mainly serves its spring and summer season-long boating residents, but they have about a dozen closely-spaced pull-through sites for short term visitors. Easy access from highway,...

Tip for Other Campers:
During Spring migration in May, its all about the birds in this area, but if youre a birder, you already know that. Nearest supermarket is 15 minutes away in Oak Harbor, and fuel is slightly cheaper there too. Twin Oasts Brewery in Port Clinton is by far one of the nicest craft brewery settings weve ever been to, with good food.

“Shady by small pond”

Full hook up, decent amount of space between campers, shade trees and a cute pond, onsite laundry facilities and bath house. What more could you want? Were birders and this place is close to Magee...

Tip for Other Campers:
Theres a creamery about 2 miles west on OH2. Treat yourself to desert one night. Also, excellent birding in the area during spring migration.
“Nice quiet campground”
Nightly Rate: $45 USD
We've stayed here the past few years for a week or so during The Biggest Week in Birding in early May. It's very close to Magee Marsh, Ottawa NWR, and other birding hot spots. Makes a perfect home...

Wild Wings is great for breakfast or any meal; do not miss Porky's Pizza Trof pizza and pigs knuckles (balls of pizza dough drowned in melted butter and real garlic)! Both are within a couple of miles, and there aren't many places to eat out around here.

We stayed here on our way east. We knew nothing about the area, but wanted to check out Lake Erie. The campground is perfect for fishermen and birders. There is a boat ramp and boat storage. Ottawa...

Tip for Other Campers:
We hopped on Miller's Ferry and spent a day at Put-in-Bay. I recommend you rent a golf cart or a bike to get around the island.
We also did some hiking at Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge, and visited Maumee Bay State Park Beach, a public, sandy beach not too far away.
