“Nice park with a laundry”

Tips from campers about Lake Eufaula State Park, Dogwood Campground
- dbrad1955 Walk to Cunningham Falls, from the parking lot it is a 1/2 mile. We also drove around to see the covered bridges, there are three in the area.
- Tom Newman Maple Run Golf Course near by.
- hsr596 Our Garmin took us on a road into the campground that caused a bit of anxiety as it was really only one lane comfortably and some blind curves while also low hanging wires. We made it but it was 5 miles of anxiety! Take 77 to Catoctin Hollow Rd.... NOT the other end of this road from Rt. 15.

Arrived on a Monday park only had host and 2 others here. Maybe a dozen showed up Friday. Was here middle of October and walnuts were falling from trees had to cover solar panels with rugs....

Plenty of bike paths and foot trails to explore. Spider webs everywhere around baths (just don't look up)...

Tip for Other Campers:
Plan to drive 15-20 minutes to any grocery stores or restaurants, either north to Checotah or south to Eufala. If you dont have a boat, not a lot to do or see in the area. Deep Fork National Wildlife Refuge, about 40 minutes away, has a couple nice trails that are good for avoiding chiggers....

Tip for Other Campers:
Bring your boat if you can't just sit and relax. Groceries are 30min away. Park office has a few items but you know what they cost....
