“Good location for site seeing and traveling through to the east coast”
Nightly Rate: $41 USD
We camped for 5 nights in September. The park is close to the 401 so it is a good spot to stay if you are headed further east. The park is not large but does have a good number of sites with water and...

Tip for Other Campers:
Gananoque is a short drive from the park and there are some nice shops and restaurants there. Also some nice walking/biking tours. We walked the Lion's loop which I would not recommend as it takes you through some industrial areas and not much in terms of scenery. We really wanted to do a boat cruise through the thousand islands, but could not find any...

This campground had clean grounds. We did not use the facilities. The sites are not level, but doable. Our site was next to the road, but the traffic died down at night and was not a problem. We...

Tips from campers about Ivy Lea Campground - Parks of the St. Lawrence
- Scotsqueen We loved the village of Rockport, 3 km away. Great boat tour of the islands from there. Get groceries in Gananoque; the freshmart in Landsdowne was very expensive, and we found long hairs in the store-made salads we purchased. The No-Frills in Gananoque would be a better choice for groceries.
- Bailey momma Gananoque is a short drive from the park and there are some nice shops and restaurants there. Also some nice walking/biking tours. We walked the Lion's loop which I would not recommend as it takes you through some industrial areas and not much in terms of scenery. We really wanted to do a boat cruise through the thousand islands, but could not find any cruise line that was pet friendly. We took a drive into Kingston and spent the day touring the Kingston Penitentiary, biking the waterfront, and then we chartered a sailboat for 2 hours to see the skyline from the St. Lawrence River. We booked through Ahoy Rentals and this was pet friendly. The sailboat was very comfortable for 4 adults and our little mini-schnauzer. Andrew was a great tour guide. The park gives free tickets to Fort Henry (also not pet friendly), and Upper Canada Village (is pet friendly).

“great but some campsites are so-so”
Nightly Rate: $60 CAD
We live 30 minutes away and feel this campground has a great location to attractions in the area. The sites are tired. Not level enough. Our site was awful as it was on the edge of a swamp and after 3...

“Very nice area to visit but park could use improvement”
Nightly Rate: $60 CAD
Other reviewers have made comments about the small entrance for check in. Ideally a staff member will see you arrive at the gate, open the gate to let you thru to park and come register. Sites...
