- OHCal1988 This campground is lovely! Don't miss the nature trails that circle the campground. It is located an easy drive from Newport which has a working fisherman's wharf - tourist shops, real (and noisy) Sealions and great seafood restaurants galore. Even closer is a Walmart, Fred Meyer and an Ace hardware where Michael went way above and beyond to help us repair our gas fire-ring....The kite store in Newport is worth seeing, and the Area nearby known as Nye Beach is as well. The Mc Donald's lot is a bit too tight for an RV but there is plenty of room at Burger King across the road.
