“Algonquin Park was nice, Pog Lake CG....???”
Nightly Rate: $42 USD
We stayed at Pog Lake at the end of September. According to the on-line reservation system, we had the LAST available campsite in the park for the time we were available. Overall, our stay in...

Tip for Other Campers:
The Park itself has a nice visitor center and logging museum. Diesel fuel was $$$$ outsie the park. Limited groceries in the small community, bring what you need. Not sure how well-stocked the on site camp store was. Many hikes, some accessible, some strenuous.
“Needs an upgrade”
Nightly Rate: $62 USD
I've camped here since the mid-1960s, and I have to say that this campground just never really changes. Same as it was 30 some years ago, and probably the same as it was 50 some years ago. While...

Tips from campers about Algonquin Provincial Park, Pog Lake Campground
- JonesAussies I had to have lab work done and as a patient of Mayo Clinic this location is only 15 minutes away if you are needing to have appointments. DO NOT STAY at the Sonesta hotel on the Mayo campus; our friends had a horrible experience and the rules and services are the worst I have ever heard. Extremely rude management. Other guests were also upset by the treatment. Lots of good restaurants within 15 minutes drive time. Many great activities in the greater Phoenix area.1 month ago Eagle View RV Resort
- JESSALOVE Target just 7 min away. We also had fun at the fountain park.2 months ago Eagle View RV Resort
- jbarlow653 If youre traveling with dogs, make sure you have a rug and awning for shade. There is no picnic table and no fire pit. Its the desert so beware of snakes and scorpions.2 months ago Eagle View RV Resort

Nice park. We were in loop B site 321 and it was difficult to get backed in due to the trees and curve of the road. Once in the site was very large and spacious. It's a very busy park and the lake is...

“Beautiful large sites in the pine trees. ”

Very large sites, however many are not level. Comfort Stations, including showers and laundry are very clean. Pog lake has 2 beaches in the park. There is much to see and do in the area, as a very...

Tip for Other Campers:
Buy firewood in Whitney, cheaper and MUCH dryer. The sanitation/dump station is 2 kms away, and services several parks on Hwy 60. With only 2 dump stations, it can be a nightmare in busy times.
