Tip for Other Campers:
The Park itself has a nice visitor center and logging museum. Diesel fuel was $$$$ outsie the park. Limited groceries in the small community, bring what you need. Not sure how well-stocked the on site camp store was. Many hikes, some accessible, some strenuous.

Tips from campers about Algonquin Provincial Park, Pog Lake Campground
- JonesAussies I had to have lab work done and as a patient of Mayo Clinic this location is only 15 minutes away if you are needing to have appointments. DO NOT STAY at the Sonesta hotel on the Mayo campus; our friends had a horrible experience and the rules and services are the worst I have ever heard. Extremely rude management. Tip for Other Campers:
Buy firewood in Whitney, cheaper and MUCH dryer. The sanitation/dump station is 2 kms away, and services several parks on Hwy 60. With only 2 dump stations, it can be a nightmare in busy times.
