Visit the Columbia River Maritime Museum to learn the fascinating history of the river, the Bridgewater Bistro (very good food), the Fort George Brewery (very good beer and pub food), and The Astoria Column for spectacular views of the river inlet and the city.

Took a bit to get Wi-Fi set up and running, but then it was fine for the 5 days we were there.
Tips from campers about Lewis & Clark Golf & RV Park
- OHCal1988 This campground is lovely! Don't miss the nature trails that circle the campground. It is located an easy drive from Newport which has a working fisherman's wharf - tourist shops, real (and noisy) Sealions and great seafood restaurants galore. Even closer is a Walmart, Fred Meyer and an Ace hardware where Michael went way above and beyond to help us repair our gas fire-ring....The kite store in Newport is worth seeing, and the Area nearby known as Nye Beach is as well. The Mc Donald's lot is a bit too tight for an RV but there is plenty of room at Burger King across the road. This is a smallish park, about 5 miles outside of the city center. It is on a golf course but that was closed when we were here. We paid cash because there was an up-charge for using a credit card....

“Nice water areas”
Nightly Rate: $85 USD
Great private park with water surrounding the back areas near the golf course. Very quiet and peaceful setting! We camped at Lewis & Clark Golf & RV Park in a Motorhome.
