Tip for Other Campers:
Go to Harrison State Park/beach on the north side of Brookings. It has an excellent paved ramp/walkway access to the beautiful beach where you can walk or hike.

Nightly Rate: $62 USD
Nice park, quiet and close to restaurants and things to do. Only downside was pay for showers. 50 cents for 3 minutes or 75 for 7 minutes, we had full hook up. I think it for the long stay users....

- NovarroNomads There is a small grocery store, a Family Dollar and more in town. Propane refills are cheap and easy just down the main road. Fishing is FREE in Texas State Parks, something we didn't know until we stayed here. And if you need to do laundry, I suggest the cruise to Mineral Wells. “Quiet park, boat rentals for crabbing!”
Nightly Rate: $45 USD
Quiet park. RV spot had enough space for RV and you could pull your car in next to RV.Boat rental for crabbing ($125 for 3 hours). We didnt rent but looks like fun. Did not use any of the facilities....
