Tip for Other Campers:
Watch out for the deer, they come right up into your site. Lot's of hiking and what looks like some impressive disc golf courses.

A very nice state park. Very popular. Nice large sites. We camped at L.L. Stub Stewart Memorial State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Closest restaurant is over ten miles away. I would avoid the black iron grill. Food is mediocre at best.

- CampingScubaGal The Banks Vernonica bike trail is downhill from the campground to the Buxton trestle and then of course uphill back to the campground. Its all paved and in good shape. We went about a mile or 2 uphill from the campground. We ran out of time. Bathrooms were fine; showers were iffy. They are self-contained locked stalls.7 months ago L.L.
