- Radical Retirees The campground is walking distance to Winterset town center. A small town but with a few shops and restaurants. The people were all very friendly and we enjoyed ourselves here. Tip for Other Campers:
McMinnville is the "bigger" town with shopping. Evergreen Air museum has Howard Hughes Spruce Goose. So many wineries.

Tip for Other Campers:
Fairly close location to McMinnville and wine country. We used the park as a base to visit Evergreen Air & Space Museum, a winery, as well as several local restaurants.
