Tip for Other Campers:
John Day fossil Beds. Thomas Condon Paleontology Center. Open Friday to Monday only.Blue basin hikes and painted hills. Lots of scenic biking in the area. John Day is about half an hour drive and has all the shops you need.

We had a great site right next to the river. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again. We camped at South Fork RV park in a Motorhome.

Great central location for visiting the various parts of the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument.
