We followed our RV GPS and it showed the campground (CG) as being at the dam, but we had about 5 miles more to go. There were reviews that the road to the CG areas was challenging. We had called the...

Tip for Other Campers:
Getting to either campground, seasoned RVers with coaches around 40 should have no problem, just take it slow.
Would recommend making a reservation. There are two parks, Hawthorne (30amp) and Indian Creek (50amp). Site measurements are not correct, but usable. Camped in 38' MH, came for crappie and found...

Tips from campers about Lake Owyhee State Park
- favoritebird The beach is THE thing to do at this campground, with good reason. There is also a 1.6-mile nature trail with a trailhead at the campground.
- Woodismom The nature trails are a beautiful stroll through coastal scrub and along the bay. There are so many birds!

This park is much improved since last postings. There is no longer a store. Bring it with you. Park is well taken care of by rangers. In season there is a camp host. We've seen some pretty large...
