  John holt The best places to eat that are fairly close to the park is the Red Barn and Canecutters. Drive out to the Jefferson Country store for a burger, Fried Bologna, or BBQ sandwich. Its a step back in time.

  CE2021 There is a nice walking/biking trail. The Foscue creek trail head is near the day use area. We rode 3 miles on our bikes around the campground loops and down the day use road. Great exercise after a long drive.
