Stayed overnight on our way to Winnipeg. Nice municipal campground with all services except sewage. Good for overnight. We camped at Gull Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

AMANDA AND WILLIAM Small playground for kids. If you are into casinos Danville is about a hour or less away with a brand new one. Virginia international raceway is also about the same time away.

Wayne and Lisa on the Road Appomattox is 50 minutes away. Lynchburg is about the same. We enjoyed the historic downtown and the hiking/biking trail along the river. The main downtown looked like a fun, accessible place. Thomas Jefferson's Poplar Forest retreat is nearby.

vmccain There is a Walmart less than 10 miles away. There is also a gas station/minute market and they some camping items and they are 2 miles up the road.

Campground is small, definitely built before the bigger trailers. Our first night, we had to set our lawn chairs under the neighbor's slide. We couldn't open our awning as the next unit was too close!...
