From the pix on the reservation website, the site looked a lot deeper than it turned out to be. We've had that problem with other SK parks. That said, it was a lovely lakeside site. We managed to fit...

Tip for Other Campers:
The Nemeiben Lake interpretive trail was burnt out by a forest fire in 2015 and is impassible, but it still features in the park literature. The Nut Point trail is nice but not well marked; the side track to the picnic spot at Downton Lake is not marked. The Nipekamew Sand Cliffs trail is not well signposted; about an hour away, over some sketchy road, it...

- Katmandoo The Cody Museum has 5 museums in it and your ticket can be purchased for two consecutive days. There is a little Cody Heritage museum that is small but worth visiting. Make sure you visit Old Trail Town, where they have either brought in old cabins or reconstructed cabins that the pioneers, trappers and other people lived in. Jeremiah Johnston is buried there. (Robert Redford portrayed him in the movie Jeremiah Johnson) If you are looking for scenic drives you must drive Beartooth Scenic Drive that goes up into Montana. Don't get suckered into stopping and buying anything at the "Top of the World" stop over. It is quite expensive, but a place to stop and see. You can drive the Bighorn Scenic drive if you have a day. And Shell Creek Falls and scenic Drive. There is the Buffalo Bill dam, Buffalo Bill state park, The Heart Mountain Interpretive Center where the Japanese were housed during WWII. So much to see in and around Cody. You can also drive to Yellowstone on a scenic byway.2 years ago Absaroka Bay RV Park
- fmahaffay Don't miss the rodeo which is held every night during the months of June, July and August. Adult tickets are only $23 for a great evening of entertainment. The restaurants in the area have excellent food and atmosphere and the prices are reasonable. Go to Trail Town and take in the "gun fight" on the street next to the famous Irma Hotel. There are many things to do in Cody for adults and families.5 years ago Absaroka Bay RV Park
- Ktcoloradoinfl The town of Cody is fun and welcoming. Good food, hospitable. Stay away from the "gun show" -- don't waste your time -- but do see the Dam (just a short drive away), the rodeo (what fun!), the multiple scenic drives in the area, a museum of buried guns (recovered) which my husband really enjoyed, the visitor's center -- great people, informative! The museums, of course. And yellowstone isn't very far away (an hour's drive more or less). All in all a very nice place to stay and if we come back to this area, we will definitely book here again.2 years ago Absaroka Bay RV Park
