Walmart is close along with fast food restaurants. The SC State Museums is 3 floors and one of the best we have visited.

Luca Italian restaurant very good, very popular. 35 minutes away is Congaree National Park - very good, super boardwalk, largest lolly pines in the world along with bald cypress.

It is only a short drive to a shopping area with restaurants and a super Walmart. A good breakfast place is Lizard's Thicket. They also serve lunch and dinner. Riverwalk Zoo & Botanical Garden is a great side trip. Only about 20 minutes from the campground. Be sure not to blow off the Botanical Gardens if you have kids. They have a great area for young kids...
