Unfortunately Hurricane Helene did major damage to this park. It was still off-season, but only 3 campground areas were open G, H, I. Others still being repaired. The one hiking trail was also closed...

We had a beer at Savannah Lakes Country Club since we couldn't find a brewery near-by after visited other state parks. Friendly folks and live music. Also stopped by Michelle's Pizza in McCormick for pizza and wings for take out. Both very good. Tips from campers about Hamilton Branch State Park
- franco-bolli Spot 16 has some low hanging branches that will hit if you're near 13 feet high. The "Coffee mug" near the fake water tower down town, is worth having a look at for lunch. McAdoos is a great place for breakfast!. Some potholes and uneven roadwork, but less so than some of the road around Elko.9 months ago Valley View RV

Tip for Other Campers:
The only problem we had was with the massive amount of ants that invaded our camper. Talking with other campers, it appeared we werent alone. Obviously not the parks fault just make sure you bring ant spray and airtight containers.
