“The clearest, prettiest water!!”
Nightly Rate: $55 USD
The campground was easy to find! Internal road on the campground were not the easiest to navigate. They were narrow and bumpy but doable. Our site was a back in with plenty of room and a mostly level,...

Tip for Other Campers:
The first day we took our own paddleboards up to the Wrights Creek Falls. It was pretty far but doable. Def get out early in the morning for any paddling (kayak or SUP) as the wind picks up during the day. We rented a pontoon boat from Jocassee Keowee Rentals. Stephanie was amazing to work with. We were able to see the rest of the falls with a four hour...

This is a nice state park campground but not a big rig park. The access to the campground is on a two lane road with hills and a few S curves. The park roads are paved and hilly, but better than the...

Tip for Other Campers:
Sassafras Mt, the highest point in SC is a 45 min drive from the park. Observation tower at the summit actually splits NC and SC. Panoramic views in every direction. Paved road to the top then a 300 foot up hill walk on a paved surface to the tower. No charge to access.

“Camping loops are tight. I wouldnt bring a camper over 30 foot.”
Nightly Rate: $50 USD
Nice sites with great views of lake. Can walk to lake from site and kayak. Roads & landscaping need work. We camped at Devils Fork State Park in a Travel Trailer.
Tip for Other Campers:
Jocassee Lake tours were great!
“Roads are very hilly and sharp turns getting to this park.”
Nightly Rate: $50 USD
Beautiful campground, very quiet and peaceful during the work/school week. Weekends get busier but still a great place to go to kayak, swim, boat to the beautiful falls. We camped at Devils Fork...

Tip for Other Campers:
All big grocery stores are at least 20 minutes or more out. Would recommend stopping by a grocery before arriving. Ingles was a nice store and Walmart is just a little further out. The closer little markets aren't bad for drinks and snacks but much more pricey.

“Lake Jocassee is beautiful! ”

Expensive for a state park, but youre paying for access to the lake. Which, in our opinion is worth it! Be ready to navigate tight roads in the campground and back into a narrow site with trees all...
