“Great location. Close to all attractions that the Black Hills and Custer State Park has to offer”

Great staff. Sites mostly level and big, well spaced. This is the second time we have stayed here and would again if in the area. We camped at Fort Welikit Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Our main focus was attending the Buffalo Roundup in Custer State Park. Bonus day trips to nearby Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Jewel Caves and Hill City on scenic highways rounded up the trip!!

- We Roamed and Rambled West-O brewery in West Okoboji is very good and has pizza. Tip for Other Campers:
The Custer State Park Buffalo Roundup was a bit disappointing. Hours of waiting and the whole thing was over in 20 minutes.
Paddleboarded on Bismarck Lake.
Crazy Horse was very interesting!
Alpine Inn for dinner in Hill City. Get there by 4:00 pm to get a pager for the 5:00 seating, or risk waiting for several hours.

Mickelson Hike/Bike Trail is 109 miles of cinder packed trail with Trailheads every 5, 10, 15 miles with bike stands and shelters to fix your bike.
